What Shelby Township homeowners call us for most

We're based in Shelby Township, so our electricians handle everything here, from a tripping breaker or dead outlet to panel upgrades and standby generator hookups. Generator and panel work come up more in Shelby than in most of the areas we serve, as homes from the 1990s and 2000s add EV chargers, finished basements and backup power. Tell us what stopped working or what you're planning to add, and we'll look at the whole system before recommending a fix.

Tell us what has changed and what you want your home to do. We’ll help you plan the next step.

Shelby Township electrical help, from a doorbell to a service upgrade

The Shelby Township reviews below describe quick help with a malfunctioning chime, clear explanations, and repeat visits over several years. Those are individual experiences, rather than a promise about every appointment. They do show why communication belongs alongside the electrical work. When you call about an unfamiliar sound or a device that has stopped working, describe the symptom before choosing a replacement. The right next step starts with understanding the existing wiring.

Called on a Thursday at 3:00 pm and they were here at 4:00 pm the same day to take care of the issue. They were fast, explained the estimate thoroughly, and cleaned up when they were done. I wish all contractor experiences could be this good. If you need an electrician, you only need to call these guys.

We called Nate at 8:23am to checkout a chime box that was malfunctioning since 3am in the morning. He arrived at our home by 8:44am and correctly rewired our smart doorbell in the chime box. He sensed our concern and made time to help out quickly with a pleasant attitude. Now we can rest easy knowing everything is correctly installed. Thanks Nate!

What does it cost to have an electrician come out?

Repair visits have a $99 dispatch fee, and it's waived if you move forward with the repair. Project estimates for panel upgrades, EV chargers, standby generators, hot tubs and remodels are free. You get an exact price before any work starts.

Can you come today?

We book the earliest open slot and keep a rapid-repair list for cancellations. For true emergencies (a burning smell, sparks, no power, or water in the panel) we offer an emergency visit for $329.

Part of my house lost power or a breaker keeps tripping. What should I do?

First check whether your neighbors are out too; if so, call DTE. If only part of your home is out, it's usually a tripped breaker, a GFCI outlet upstream, or a loose connection. Reset the breaker once. If it trips again, leave it off and book a diagnosis.

I smell burning or see sparks from an outlet or panel. What should I do?

If there is smoke or fire, call 911. Otherwise switch off that breaker or the main, don't use the outlet, and call a licensed electrician the same day.
